Powerful entry level loudspeaker
we had one goal in mind – unbeatable price/performance ratio. It's an affordable, yet surprisingly performant loudspeaker. No matter what you throw at it, from sophisticated classical and jazz music to modern club pieces, it all comes through with clarity and ease. Kovalsky presents the sound signature and build quality that can hardly be surpassed by speakers that cost twice as much.
Kovalsky is a slim, elegant floor-standing loudspeaker, finished with a high quality, one-piece textile cover and smoothly lacquered, medium-gloss top and bottom covers. The modern design is simple, yet refined, blending well with a variety of room decors.
Each speaker comes equipped with 1 inch silk dome tweeter and two 6 inch paper mid-woofers. Kovalsky implements a 2,5-way crossover configuration, with the top woofer handling anything from the bass to the high-midrange registers and smoothly passing onto the tweeter. At the same time, the bottom woofer, located closer to the floor, rolls off earlier and supports its the bass and low-midrange frequencies. This approach provides Kovalsky with proper weight and punch in the lower registers, yet retains superb soundstage focus and imaging. Having two sources of low frequencies located at different heights also results in a more uniform and stable in-room bass response.
Even though Kovalsky is an entry level speaker, it entirely lives up to the Webst standards in both design and sound departments.
